The table top fan or desktop fan is a handy USB appliance that beats the odds. Each season there’s a size up of snazzy and upgraded models. Fans, however, aren’t that complicated in their design, so generic brands are ready to give you a run for your money.
We reveal who is behind each fan, so you can beat the odds too. The more you can find out about the brand manufacturer, the better. Brands that carry a number of products may also be a better choice, and a standard warranty will usually lessen the risks as well.

KeyNice 3-in-1 USB Fan
Keynice is a brand under Fulling Way Technologies Ltd. – a professional manufacturer since 2012. They specialize in USB fans, but also have a number of other select single products. The company is registered in Hong Kong.
- Oscillating fan 50°
- 360° manual adjustment
- Up and down adjustment
- Table, clip, or wall mount
- 0.5 kg
- 3 power levels
- Rhythm mode
- 25000 mAh battery x 2 incl.
- 6 hrs high mode, 30 hrs low
- 1 year warranty
Indoors and in close proximity these fans do the job. They help circulate air in cramped bathrooms as well. Once outdoors, they don’t work as well as advertised if there’s wind. Also, on oscillating mode, the usable period is closer to 4hrs rather than 6 on high mode. The clips is 100mm wide by 120mm deep.
There’s a more basic color choice of green and white with no real difference in specs.
Litmor Table Top & LED Light Fan
Litmor is a brand under ShenZhen Topnets Technology Co. Ltd. which has been around for about 13 years. Their main products are battery cam security cameras and small solar panels.
- 80° wide angle oscillation
- Remote control
- 7 200 mAh battery
- Adjustment 40° left and right
- Adjustment of 90° up and 30° down
- Wind speeds: 2.5 / 3 / 3.5 ms
- 2 levels LED handle light
- Timer
- 1.5 kg
- 1 year warranty
For some serious wind power in a portable USB design, these Litmors, although a little pricey, are extremely useful and versatile. They work well as a floor fan, table fan, bathroom, or kitchen fan. You can also mount them on the wall.
Although not as powerful as an AC wired vortex circulator fan, they really boost air circulation within a room and can also be used to speed up clothes drying. They are also much more effective outdoors than other USB portables.
The remote control is a bonus, and it can also adjust the left to right angle. The timer is set to 1 or 4 hours, and one full charge can last from 2.5 to 10 hrs. The front comes off for easy cleaning as does the base for internal dusting. The dimensions are: 26.9 x 17.5 x 38.4 cm.
People love the design chic, sound levels are very agreeable, and the wind strength pretty good.
Umimile Oscillating Fan for Table & Wall Mount
Umimile is a young Korean brand since 2020. They’re a brand of Jungwoninternational Trading Co. Apart from a couple of nice fans, they make automatic liquid dispensers and have an innovative rotating floor mop.
- Standing or wall mount
- 90° oscillation
- 18 cm diameter 5 blader
- Good for 6 tatami room
- 3 power levels
- 610 grams
- RoHS certified safe materials
- 1 year warranty
For a more sizeable table top fan, this Umimile is a good choice for its simple, practical design, and affordability. It’s nothing fancy with just a simple dial, a somewhat unique swirled blade grate, and a boxy design measuring 19 x 19 x 18 cm.
The most commented features are the quietness and wind strength for its size. Its performance and cost value is better than most other fans. Reports state the they honor their warranty.
SmartDevil USB Table & Desktop Fan
Smart Devil, true to its name, has been making inroads and a name for itself. Smart Devil Technology Co., Ltd was established back in 2010 in Shenzhen. They manage everything from design to development to distribution. Products include car accessories, wireless charges, screen protectors, cables and more with a focus on human design and color.
- 5 blade wonder
- Plug-in operated
- 12.8×12.9×5.2 cm
- Pink, white, blue
- 3 wind levels
- 360° adjustment
- 169 grams
- RoHS cert. material safety
Unlike other USB fans, these ultra-minis don’t have a battery so they need to plug-in. For more portability you will need a small power pack. They can slip into a bag and are nice for a work or study desk. Operation is 1-touch and the button is at the back of the fan in the middle.
People find that on the highest volume these fans are not ‘ultra’ quiet as advertised. The sound is okay, but comparatively a little more high pitched or a kind of soft server drone sound. The front comes off easily for cleaning. Unfortunately, no warranty information is included with these products.
- 2 000 mAh power cell
- 4 color series
- 0.5 kg
If you want the same fan, but with a little more versatility, try these somewhat larger ones with a replaceable and rechargeable battery. They can also mount onto a wall hook.
Akiki Oscillating Small USB Fan
Aiki and Akimo, whose logo is on the fan, are both brands of Shenzhen Meilianfa Technology Co., Ltd. They’re a new company going back to 2019 specializing in mostly mobile phone and computer accessories.
- 2 colors with lemon blades
- 90° oscillation
- 2-4-6-8 hr timer
- 3 wind levels
- 5 000 mAh
- PSE certification
These fans have a nice somewhat chic design – especially the logo and the yellow blades. They come in white and black. The most appreciated thing is the timer.
Most feel that wind strength is comparatively a little weaker than other similar fans. There are those who feel the sound may not be discreet enough for a quiet office. There is no warranty information in the package, so best to check your seller warranty.
The Dreamegg recommended below is quieter and stronger, but not an oscillating fan like this one.
Dreamegg Table Stand or Clamping Fan
Dreamegg is a brand of Integration Smart (HK) CO. Ltd. based in Kowloon, Hong Kong. They’ve been doing business since late 2018. They make mini air purifiers, humidifiers, as well as white noise machines. Their fans include handheld fans and neck fans.
- Non-oscillating
- Adjustment 90° vertical
- 4 colors
- 5 blades
- Clamp function
- 4 levels (pink: 3)
- 30 to 55 db
- Diameter 15.8 cm
- 1 year warranty
There are a few things to note before deciding to purchase this fan. The head does not oscillate, so is fixed in one position. It can only be adjusted up or down. There’s a slight price difference in the color, and for some reason, the pink model only has 3 power levels and not 4.
People are genuinely surprised how relatively quiet and strong the fan is. It’s a good choice for an office desk fan. The clamp is also very secure. The fan stands some 19.6cm tall, the diameter is 15.8cm, and the base 10.8cm. The clamp can expand to 5.5cm.
IEGrow USB Fan with Light and Humidifier
IEGrow is the brand name of Evergrow Electronic Inc. – a Chinese-American company operating out of California since 2015. They mostly produce Bluetooth keyboard cover cases for iPads. They also made small handheld fans and a number of other novelty items.
- LED orange light
- Misting or cooling
- 3 600 mAh battery
- Battery level indicator
- Carry handle
- 15° adjustable angle
- PSE electric certification
- 1 year warranty
Unlike many other USB fans, this one has a removeable battery. It can also work while charging. The misting function has continuous or intermittent modes. You can use this function to cool the air down, but there’s no indication whether it’s okay to add aroma oil. For the size and price, the wind power and noise levels have good ratings.
Doshisha Air on Wood AC & USB Fan
Doshisha is an Osaka company gong back to 1974. They have their own original product range, but also collaborate with the distribution, design, and marketing of alliance brands such as evercook, Mosh!, and Komome.
- USB, AC, Battery power
- AC adapter included
- 8.5 x 14 x 13.5 cm
- 3 airflow levels
- 300 grams
- 13 slender blades
- 4 colors incl. natural wood
- Vertical adjustment only
- 1 year warranty
This small desktop fan – ideal for work, study, or a cafe – is unique among the crowd. It’s one of the few USB fans that comes with optional AC power. It takes 4 AA dry batteries, but they are not included in the purchase. Standard battery use is only 4 hours, but you can also run this off a mobile power pack.
The way these fans fold up, you can easily slip them in a draw or into a bookcase. For most people the wind strength is sufficient, and the sound quiet enough. The natural wood option is the most popular, but prices can vary a lot between the different sellers.
Aihom Folding Telescopic USB Fan
Aihom is one of a number brands under Shenzhen BeToHow Tech. Co., Ltd. out of Shenzhen. They specialize in air solutions and fittings such as faucets and shower heads also under the brand Homelody.
- 7 telescopic levels to 1m
- Fold away design
- Remote control
- 1/2/4 hr timer
- 7 200 mAh
- 4 airflow levels
- 120 oscillation
- LED light
- PSE certified
There are a number of these kinds of fans available, but most are unknown or no-name generics. Even still, this Aihom doesn’t have any standard warranty, so you are limited to a seller warranty.
The nice thing is the timer on the remote. A full charge takes around 5 hrs. It last from 4 to 20 hrs depending on the mode speed, but some reports are considerably less. Also, it folds away nicely for winter storage measuring 38×12 cm.
The value in this product is its portability and height allowing you to use it anywhere in the house from the kitchen, to the bathroom, to the bedroom. Compared to standard fans of a similar size it’s comparatively noisier, but the lowest level is fine for sleeping.
Nutrichef App Control Aroma Folding Fan
This NUTRICHEF brand appears not to be the famous kitchen brand NutriChef. They are in all likelihood a Chinese brand with a similar name.
- Oscillation 100°
- Vertical adjusting & foldable
- Inbuilt aroma diffuser
- Indoor temperature display
- LED lighting
- Timer
- Table top or wall mount
- 4 modes incl. rhythm
- App remote control
- 25.6×19.1×10.9 cm
- 850 grams
This little fan packs a lot into it, and it’s worth the price for the novelty. The aroma function is nice for a bathroom or bedroom. The light also makes it good for working on a PC at night.
The ight has a golden glow with low and high luminosity and temperature. It has a full charge indicator and for the app remote, there’s a QR code on the fan base you can scan.
The temperature display is not the highest quality and the internal battery is only 4 000 mAh. This is not an exceedingly popular choice, but it seems to work well enough. There is no warranty, to check with your seller for return policies.
